Athletico fans harass players and board: “Trash, shameful, ask to leave”

Athletico fans who watched the team's defeat to Vila Nova, this Saturday (17), in Goiânia , went to the team's hotel to demand the players and the board of directors for the club's moment in the Brazilian Championship Series B. With ten points, Furacão is only in 12th place and can still lose two more positions in the round.

As the athletes got off the bus and walked to the hotel entrance, a group of fans harassed practically everyone who passed by, shouting “trash”, “shame on you” and “get out”, as well as ironic applause for the club’s current form.

When president Mario Celso Petraglia passed by the place, he heard: “Another disgrace, president? Once again president? Congratulations, huh.” When interim coach João Correia turned, the shouts were “back to Portugal.”

The images were posted by the club's fan and advisor, Fernando Azevedo , on the social network X, accompanied by the phrase: “Here it will be like this, there will always be demands. Whoever is not satisfied, it's simple, get out of our Athletico. Enough of putting up with shame on top of shame”.

According to the CBF, 182 fans were in the visiting section of the Onésio Brasileiro Alvarenga Stadium, better known as OBA, in Athletico's fourth defeat in the Second Division season. Without a win in five games, counting the Copa do Brasil, Furacão will play again on Tuesday (20), against Brusque, in Curitiba, in the definition of the spot in the round of 16 of the knockout tournament. The first game, in Joinville, ended in a 0-0 draw .
